Venus Rocks the House in Garrett Park

Venus packed the Town Hall of Garrett Park, Maryland to celebrate the release of our new CD, Digital Redemption (now available for download on iTunes, Amazon or CD Baby).  We are so grateful to all our friends, family and fans for coming out to join us! Thank you to the Women’s Club of Garrett Park, our hosts. 50% of the proceeds go to the Betsy White Emergency Fund for families in need. Venus d Minor’s new CD is now Live and available for download on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby. We need Likes and Reviews from our fans, so pull out those keyboards! Venus d Minor CD on Amazon/Concert Sold Out!

Starting tomorrow, June 23rd, Venus d Minor’s long awaited second album–Digital Redemption–will be available for downloads on Amazon. (Feel free to “Like” us on Amazon or write a review once downloads begin!) We’re celebrating with 75 of our closest fans in a SOLD OUT CD Launch Concert at the Garrett Park Town Hall Saturday night at 7:30pm. Some Standing Room spots may be available for those who didn’t purchase in advance. And hey, what Venus concert doesn’t involve standing in a crowded room with a glass of wine in your hand, enjoying oddball lyrics and tight-harmony arrangements?!  Shoot us an email and we’ll come sing in a living room or concert venue near you: venusdminor@gmail.com.

Concert sponsored by the Women’s Club of Garrett Park.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Betsy White Emergency Fund, created in 1969 for families who find themselves in urgent financial need due to fire, health or other family emergencies.

Venus CD Launch Imminent

Fans have waited with baited breath as Venus d Minor prepared ts first album in a decade–now about to launch into the Universe.  Digital Redemption brings fans the classic Venus close-harmony sound, with new arrangements of pop songs like “Last Train to Clarksville” and “Perfect Day” as well as old standards like “Accentuate the Positive” and “Miss Otis Regrets.” Plus funny lyrics by long-time Venus member Robin Sloan, re-applied to old standards like Cole Porter’s “It’s Alright With Me”–now transformed to “It’s Too Tight for Me” about a woman, a pair of pantyhose, and a date.
